NEPH.GG is a Valorant stats tracker: a website at neph.gg and a desktop app for Windows. This page explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the service and what you can ask us to do.
The short version: we keep what the site needs to work and nothing to sell. No ads, no analytics cookies, and our own visit counter does not record who you are.
01Game data about any Riot ID
When someone looks up a Riot ID, we fetch that account's game data from HenrikDev, a third-party Valorant API, and keep a copy so the next visit does not have to fetch it again. That copy includes:
- The account: Riot ID (name and tag), region, account level and Riot's player identifier (PUUID).
- Current rank, peak rank and results by act.
- Recent matches: map, mode, agent, score and combat stats. For detailed matches, also the scoreboard lines of the other players in that match, with their Riot IDs.
This is game data. We never see anyone's Riot password or email. If you want the data stored for your Riot ID deleted, write to us at the address below.
02If you create an account
- Your email address, if your account has one, and your password, if you set one. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored hashed; we never see them.
- Your username, which is also the address of your page (neph.gg/username).
- What you add to your page: display name, bio, links, team, country, gaming setup, avatar and banner. Your page is private until you publish it; once published, everything on it is public.
- If you sign in with Discord: your Discord ID, username and display name. Discord does not share your email with us. Adding one to your account is optional; if you do, it is used to sign you in and to send you account emails.
03If you use the desktop app
- A random installation ID and a random secret that proves it (we only store a hash of the secret), plus the app version, your operating system and when the app was last open. The usage ping can be turned off in the app's settings.
- If you link the app to your NEPH.GG account: the Riot ID, PUUID and region of the Riot account signed in on that computer. That is how the account is verified.
- Everything else the app shows — your live match, your history and your competitive profile — is read from Riot's services on your computer and is not sent to us.
04If you play Reflex
- Your crosshair and control settings and your best score in each mode are saved in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device.
- To show how many people are playing, the page sends a random ID it keeps in your browser about once a minute. The ID is not linked to your account, and IDs that stop checking in are deleted after about ten minutes.
- If you are signed in and play a ranked mode (Hard, Expert or Insane), we store the run: the mode, the seed our server chose, when it started and finished, the time of each shot and the score our server calculated by replaying it.
- Verified scores appear on the public Reflex leaderboard next to your username. Runs that look automated are kept off it and may be reviewed.
05Visits
To know whether the site is growing we count page views: which kind of page, what it was showing (a Riot ID, a username or a leaderboard region) and when. We do not store your IP address, your browser or any identifier with it.
Our hosting and database providers keep standard technical logs, which can include IP addresses, to run and secure their services.
06Cookies and local storage
- Sign-in cookies, set only when you sign in, so you stay signed in. Accounts cannot work without them.
- Your recent searches and favourite players, saved in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device; we never receive them.
- Your Reflex settings and best scores, and the random ID that counts players online, also in local storage. Only the ID is ever sent to us.
We use no advertising or analytics cookies.
07Why we use it
- To provide what you ask for: your account, your page and the link with the desktop app (performance of a contract).
- To run a stats service about a public game: storing and showing game data, counting visits and keeping the service secure (legitimate interests).
- To comply with the law, when we have to.
08Who helps us run NEPH.GG
- Supabase: database, authentication and file storage. Data is hosted in Canada.
- Resend: sends account emails, such as confirmations and password resets.
- HenrikDev: provides Valorant game data, and receives the Riot IDs that are looked up.
- valorant-api.com: serves game art. Your browser loads agent, map and rank images directly from it.
- Discord: only if you choose to sign in with Discord.
- Our hosting provider, which serves the website.
We do not sell personal data or share it with advertisers.
09International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in Canada and the United States. Where the law requires it, those transfers rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
10How long we keep it
- Account and page data: until you delete your account.
- Game data: while it is useful to the service, or until you ask us to delete it for your Riot ID.
- Visit counts: as counts, with nothing that identifies a visitor.
- Desktop app data: until you unlink the app or ask us to delete it.
- Reflex runs: until you delete your account.
11Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Account deletion is not self-service yet: write to us from the email on your account and we will delete it.
You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
12Children
NEPH.GG is not meant for children under 13, or under the age at which your country lets you consent to data processing on your own. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
13Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If the change is significant, we will tell account holders by email.
